A Closer Look

The students where the human female works are looking at very, very small things in lab this week This is a very complex machine.

There’s a lot of fiddling and focusing and changing of magnification, and you have to get the specimen centered exactly right in the view. It’s really a two-person job. Don’t get me started on the protozoan-wrangling. Those little goobers are fast.

My goal is to discover (or magic) a microbe that will infect the students’ brains and induce them to leave all their pocket money on the lab benches, where I can collect it during the gaps between labs… Goodness knows they leave everything else! (Off to have a rummage in the lost and found box because there is some seriously good stuff in there.)
